Thank you
At the weekend I celebrated my 1 year Anniversary at the club and what a year it has been. How time has flown and in this time I’ve met some amazing new people and it’s a real pleasure to work for such a club.
Thank you all for making me, my fiancée and my team very welcome and I thank you all for your continued support. Here are some before and after shots of the shop in a year and I’ve received some lovely comments regarding the shops makeover, what a transformation it has been it would not of been possible without the help from my family!
Thank you all.

RDC 36 Hole Competition
Round 1
Some very tough conditions this weekend but Saturday was the better of the two, the early leader for the nett trophy after Saturday was Pete Marsh with an opening nett 65, a fantastic score to have a one shot lead over Ed Lightfoot.
The gross leader after round one was of course Ryan Howe with a 67, great round and he was followed up by Pete Marsh with a gross 73.
Round 2
Chris Lightfoot was the winner of round 2 seeing off John Simpson on countback. Pete Marsh and Bruce Tate claim the overall 1st place tied on 141 Ryan Howe in third on 143 was unable to capitalise on a fantastic 1st round, his 2nd round gross 74 seen him placed in in 6th position.
Fantastic for Pete who carries a run of good form. Pete had been struggling with his chipping but judging by his comments his chipping is like an elevator, up and down! Well done Pete, keep up the good work. Great work by Bruce who not long ago changed his clubs new to the new G410 range from PING, some great news. Pete Marsh and Bruce Tate will play-off to determine the winner of the 2019 RDC.

Individual Voucher Stableford Some very tough conditions on Sunday with showers and strong winds and the scores showed this with five people tied in first place on 36 points, the winner on countback was A Simpson. |
Castle Results Round 9
Division 1 winner - Steve Rainford 29 Points. Division 2 winner - Eileen Catt 27 Points.
You can now enter castle scores for handicap. We must stress that this is optional so please don’t let this detract your from playing weekly castle events. Junior Golf Sixes
Budding young golfers have starred in the first-ever Golf Sixes event staged at Richmond Golf Club. Young members of Richmond GC represented the club in the new initiative from The Golf Foundation with the Golf Sixes event proving hugely successful on Saturday, June 1.
Golf Sixes gives youngsters, who are being coached by Richmond GC professional Dan Hood, the chance to compete against other clubs over six holes. The Richmond team managed to finish in second place in the second event of the North Yorkshire Golf Sixes League, which also features teams from Stokesley, Cleveland and Bedale golf clubs. |
|
Very proud of our young Juniors today who came in 2nd place in round two of the North Yorkshire Golf Sixes league, we were at home this week and the course was very well received. We make the trip to Cleveland golf club this Sunday for round three! |
Time for a little reflection |
Who doesn’t love the month of June? Long evenings, blistering sunshine (might be a little optimistic here) and plenty of opportunities to hit the course. With much of the season left to go and more competitions on the horizon, it’s time to take note of how you’ve been playing so far this year. |
Scenario 1 Hopefully, you've been playing regularly to your handicap or, better still, shooting under it. If that’s the case then happy days, keep up the good work! But we all know there’s room for improvement. Perhaps you don’t use a particular club as often as you could simply out of a lack of confidence with it? Or maybe you’re struggling with a destructive shot that is impacting your scores?
|
Scenario 2 On the other hand, you might be struggling to put a good score together no matter what you try. Some of you may be recalling a lesson you had from several years back or searching the web for a quick-fix only to be suffering further? Whether you’re in need of lessons, new equipment or a confidence boost, make sure you utilise our professional advice and skill set by speaking to a member of the team in-store. |
