Winter League Update With only one week to go, Dave Stonehouse (214) took the lead in Division 1 by scoring 39 points on a very testing winters day. Chris Lightfoot dropped to 2nd place with John Simpson on 212 followed by the same 3 players on 210 - Ed Lightfoot, Keith Stephenson & Phil Calvert. No change in Division 2 with Keith Barker and Steve Laverick tied on 216 just 3 points ahead of Mark Wicks (213). It's a pairs Texas Scramble next week so still time for anyone to improve their score. Good luck!

Weather Delay in The Race to Fulford With winter not quite at a close we were a hit with a small dusting of snow Saturday morning which didn’t clear into the afternoon preventing any play in the race to Fulford.
Sunday wasn’t much better with wind and rain putting most people off playing. Dave Stonehouse was this week’s Stableford winner on 39 Points followed by Steve Whiteley with 38 points. Well done to you both.

Do people finally respect Molinari? Ryder Cup hero, Major champion, European Tour Golfer of the Year, Race to Dubai Champion, oh, and now Arnold Palmer Invitational winner thanks to a monster 44-foot putt on the 18th. To say Italian Francesco Molinari has been hot property for the last 12 months would be an understatement, and a two-shot victory at Bay Hill on Sunday only went to confirm his status within world golf. A bogey-free eight-under 64 mirrored Rory McIlroy’s final round in 2018 when the Northern Irishman went on to win the tournament by two-shots and this time it was Molinari’s turn to repeat that feat. 2018 was undoubtedly Molinari’s breakthrough year but ahead of this year’s majors, we want know who you think will rise to the occasion in 2019 and break their major duck; head over to our website to have your say. Enter our poll. Quiz time Who was the last American to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational? For a bonus point, can you name the year? There are no prizes, simply for fun and a well-deserved pat on the back if you get it right.

Motocaddy has always been at the forefront of trolley innovation, with the world's first GPS electric trolley amongst their ranks. Well, this year they’ve made some significant upgrades to the immensly popular S1 model, which we think you're going to love. |
| New Motocaddy S1 electric trolley (2019) |
|
We don't like using the term 'entry level' to describe the new S1 as it offers so much more than what this suggests. At first glance, you'll take a liking to its modernised styling and graphics, which will really help make it stand out from other trolleys on the market. Then you get to its technology: new and improved sunlight-friendly LCD display, nine speed settings, advanced battery meter so you needn't worry about it running out mid-round without knowing, and a super-lightweight Lithium battery to name but a few. The new S1 for 2019 is as good as it gets at this price point, so pop in-store to take a look and get one in your hands. |
