Texas Scramble

The winner of this weekend’s Texas Scramble was Dave Green, Steve Bell, Stuart Thompson and Jonnie Walker with a score of 52.7 points beating Ian Crissop, Gary Catt, Ian Matthews and John Simpson who had a score of 55.5.

We have had a lot of good feedback regarding the condition of the course which is a huge credit to Anthony and his team.

Race to Close House - Winter OOM Week 3

This is a winter Order of merit played every Saturday throughout the winter months.

Played as a stableford over 12 holes with the final being played at the British Masters venue of last year, Close House. Best of all, it is open to all members.

The winner this week with 26 points was John Lancaster and in second place with 25 points was Martin Catt, well played guys.

The points table is in the clubhouse opposite the bar and will be updated every week after each competition.

A story of what could have been...

It was all-change at the top of the world rankings yet again, as Justin Rose reclaimed the number one spot after winning the Turkish Airlines Open. The Englishman beat China’s Li Haotong in a playoff after both players finished on 17-under-par.

For Li, it was certainly a story of what could have been after a series of near-misses down the final stretch. To compound his misery further, Li had a makeable putt on the first playoff hole to claim victory, only to race his first attempt a few feet past before failing to hole the one coming back. A three-putt for Li and a second consecutive Turkish Airlines Open victory for Rose, securing his place back at the summit of the world rankings.

Electric dreams

Winter golf can be very enjoyable if you're fully prepared, but a thing of nightmares if you're not. We know many of you use a Motocaddy electric trolley to transport your bag around the course, but do you have the correct winter accessories attached to get you through your round?
