Stableford competitions With the nights drawing in and the weather getting colder the end of the season is upon us. Stableford 10 last week was won by Ruth Lightfoot with Penny Holroyd coming 2nd. Stableford 11 saw Penny winning and Dot Furby coming 2nd. Well done ladies. What a great season you’ve had. The men’s competition proved for some outrageous scoring as 3 of the top 5 showing signs of the lessons paying off. Kieran McCauley would of claimed victory probably on any other day with 40 stableford points, 2nd on countback, however 46 points (yes this is not a typo) was the winning score, as Mike Spink won by 6 points, a clear statement heading into the winter months, well done Mike. You to can also make it count with my winter lesson package, sign up below! Future events.
A reminder to all the ‘Race To Close House’ starts a week on Saturday. Similar to that of the Castle competition played in the summer months. The event played over 12 holes to encourage more people to take part, for those who don’t want to endure a 4 hour+ round and to allow for any winter closures. The event will be played every Saturday as a roll up and then the top 10 playing the OOM final at close house, Date to be confirmed. |
