New beginnings
It’s one in one out in the shop in the next week as I say goodbye to my assistant Ryan who has been working with me over the summer as he now embarks on university at Preston, studying golf club management. I’m sure you will all join me and wish Ryan all the very best in the next step in his career, thank you Ryan. If you are around the club within the next coming days, please come and say your farewell. So that leaves me with the news to report to you that I have now appointed Ryan’s replacement. His name is Lewis Beardwell, age 22 and plays at Blackwell Grange with a handicap of 3. His application was everything I would look for and shared my drive and motivation to make Richmond the place to play and learn your golf in the area. Lewis will start on Monday 3rd September, I’m sure you will make him feel very welcome as you have done with myself. Here is a short bio from Lewis himself. "Hi everyone, Firstly, I'd like to let everyone know how happy I am to become a part of Richmond Golf Club. From the encounters I have had with everyone at Richmond in Teeside Union golf, I've always left with a high opinion of the club, staff, the course and its members. I'd also like to thank Dan for the opportunity to be an assistant pro under him, I was very impressed by his drive to not only improve his own expertise but to improve Richmond Golf Club as a whole. I look forward to learning from him and getting to know everyone at Richmond Golf club. I'd like to give people a brief backstory on me and my golf so people know who I am. I'm 22 and I've been playing golf for about 4 years at Blackwell Grange Golf club in Darlington, fortunately for me I've managed to play about 10 years worth of golf in that time and managed to get down to a handicap of 3. My main goals in golf are to get down to scratch and to help juniors enjoy the game as much as I do, I look forward to meeting you all and enjoying the later stages of warm weather golf for the year! Thanks Lewis" |
